I want to help her, but I don't really know how..?!


Question: I want to help her, but I don't really know how!.!.!?
My sister's friend, whom is 13, is over weight!. She is 13 and 158 pounds!. I have been encouraging her to lose weight for about 6 months now, and she told me that If I could find her a diet, [planned meals] she would stick to it!. Please don't suggest sparkteens, because she's already tried that and it doesn't work!. I have know this girl since she was about 3 years old, and I want her to be healthy!. Her mom, is a really poor woman, and I can't afford to take her to a nutritionist, [if I could, I would] but I'm in college and I have expenses of my own!. Any diets you have tried that can help her lose weight!? Her Ideal weight is 120 btw, and give me some advice as to how to help her!.

Not a specific diet, but it works!. All she needs to do is cut back on calories and use portion control!. 1600 calories is about the reccomended amout for a person per day!. And instead of eating a bagel, eat half!. Limit her to on packet of condoments when that's the case!. My mom lost a lot of weight and is healthy on this plan!. She needs excersise too!. Jogging, jump rope, dance, these are all great!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is more of a determination and mental toughness problem!. Assuming average height, she's at least 40 pounds heavier than she's supposed to be!. She simply needs to eat less and exercise regularly!.
A good weight loss diet should include a limited amount of calories and protein and a large amount of fiber rich food like fruits and veggies!.
Still the main concern is that she doesn't realize the magnitude of the problem and is not self motivated enough to do anything about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, i don't her lifestyle, but here are some tips:
1!. drink only water while on a diet
2!. excercise by walking first and do active activities
3!. Plan everything you eat-breakfest, lunch, dinner
4!. Get her a special small journal (not too $$)
5!. have her write down EVERYTHING she eats and tell her to show you once a week or so!.!.!.this will motivate her
6!. encourage her and have her buy a cute outfit the size she wants to be and hang it in her closet until she fits in it!.

well i use sparkteens and it works for me and i have alot of "friends" from there with success stories!. she juss needs to eat when she's hungry and stop when she's full and excercise for an hour a day!.(i suggest jumprope becuz you lose over 800 calories)its hard though!. also she shouldn't eat protein and breads(well like meats w/ rice or pasta) because when you eat it seperately you're food breaks down better which causes you to lose weight!. i didn't learn that stuff from sparkteens but like a gazillion people say this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
