I have bad anxiety and also had lots of back and shoulder pain
Yoga has helped me become more flexible!. It has also helped me focus my mind on the present moment, and appreciate the small things!. It's so much more then just regular exercise!. It's an experience! Some people may find it hokey because you may do things like sing or chant in class, but I love it!.!.you meditate and exercise at the same time!. Yes i do yoga and pilates!.!.!. of what i know is that it creates posture and flexibility!.!.one gets different kinds of postures for different types of reasons!.!.eg!. inverted pose - when ones body is reverse (in other word upside down in a particular posture), the effect of gravity puts pressure on your blood and lymph fluid which of the result improves the functioning of the heart!.!.that was just one of the examples!.!. there are still thousands of reasons why yoga is good for!.!.!.not forgeting its also a great stress reliever!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I love yoga!. I don't get to do it all of the time!. I find it relaxing and I feel a lot better afterwards!. It's deep stretches and poses!. Give it a try and see how it feels for you!. I do find myself doing some basic stretches throughout the day because I have a desk job!. I notice a difference afterwards!. I feel a lot more lengthened and less tense!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I do at least a little just about every day ~ it keeps my back (and other parts of me) very happy!. Without it I'm all tight!.!.!.

Also, I find weights are too much for my arms & shoulders, but doing some poses like the Warrior II and Downward Facing Dog keeps them happy too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

YES! It strengthens, stretches (when I do it regularly I stand about a 1/2 inch taller), relaxes and energizes without lots of impact!. It can help with digestion, cardio,tone, it's the best overall positive health thing I have found!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
