Why do I feel so tired/drowzy during the day? With...8-9 hours of sleep nightly.!

Question:

Why do I feel so tired/drowzy during the day? With...8-9 hours of sleep nightly.?

I go to bed around 2 and awake at 12. I used to stay up till 5 and sleep very very late, but I've been working on going to sleep a little earlier every night. But, I wake up and feel decently energized, but then in about an hour I feel like I want to sleep. I feel the most energy around midnight so I read and go on the computer. Then during the day I get a decent amount of excersise. Skateboarding, swimming, basketball. etc.

Help??

Answers:

you need to readjust your schedule. Going to sleep at 2AM may seem perfectly acceptable considering you wake up at 12pm, but that still means that you've only been awake for 14 hours. By sleeping away the other 10 hours of the day, you're restricting your body from getting the exercise it needs, which means that your muscles are slowly regressing, despite the few hours of intense sports you claim to do. Try going to sleep at 12 and waking up at exactley 8 hours - you may be sleepy at first, but you'll find that your internal body clock will be much more refreshed in accordance to daylight hours.
