Question: Did a pizza make me gain 5 pounds!?
I haven't eaten a pizza since January since i been trying to lose weight in January i weighed 240 pounds so i decided to get back in shape so worked out all of February and march and now i weigh 220 pounds but last week Saturday i weighed 215 pounds i thought it would be safe if i could eat a pizza since i had no food left at my apartment now i regret eating the pizza because my weight scale says i gained 5 pounds but one box of pizza with pepperoni has 1446 calories 500 from fat

how could i gain 5 pounds from just that it dosent make any since to me if 3500 = i pound then it should have taken 17500 calories to make me gain 5 pounds and i only had one pizza last Saturday after Saturday i ate nothing but grilled chicken grilled on the george foreman grill with no seasoning at all and the the chicken is only 110 calories and 2 pieces are the serving seize i only eat 4 a day so how could i gain 5 pounds!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Pizza also has a lot of salt and if pepperoni or other processed meats are on there a bunch of chemicals and dyes, I believe you probably are retaining some water from all the sodium and other stuff!. You are right about the calories!.
The most it could give you in terms of weight is half a pound!.
Note, people weigh differently at different times of the day!.
When you weigh, do it at the same time of day for a more accurate measure!.
Even better, don't get on the scales but maybe once every two weeks at the most, a measure tape is the most accurate tool for loss especially if you are exersizing a lot because a pound of muscle is about ten times smaller than a pound of fat!. Good luck and hang in there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be water weight due to the salt content of the pizza!. Also, it depends on the time of day you weigh yourself!. You are lighter in the morning (not by a significant amount, but gravity has an effect throughout the day), so make sure you weigh around the same time!. Eating pizza that one time did not make you gain 5 lbs!. Our weight fluctuates all day, so that could be the reason why!. Water retention could also be a problem, particularly if you are a female and it close to your period!. I can piss out five lbs in a day so don't worry about!. Drink a bunch of water and weigh yourself again in a few days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
