Which builds more muscle???!


Question: I do push ups daily or every other day if i have pain after doing a lot. My question is what will give me more muscle growth, doing a lot of reps but smaller sets and longer breaks, or doing as many reps as i can in one set but doing less sets. Right now i only do 20 per set and i do 6 - 10 sets per day (i havent been doing them for very long so i cant do a ton yet). I could probably do 30 if i i really pushed myself. Would i gain more muscle if i did maybe 3 sets of 30 or 6-10 sets of 20?

i would recommend doing as many sets as possible (to the point to where you can not do one more). and doing as many as you can per set, when resting i would recommend only resting for about 30 seconds. in the beggining it will seem kind of hard with less rest time but your body will get used to it...hope that helps

longer breaks, It would help to add more protein into your diet

I think you should do some weight training along with the push ups if you really want bigger arms
