that's what you need to overcome, the block you have created,in not wanting to go back, because of what others think, don't,once you have been a couple of times IT will be like you have never been away, you are never gonna motivate yourself if you have this attitude, they at the gym, will give you support and encouragement,as every body has to start some where,so what are you waiting for get it arranged don't put it off you have to believe in your self, good luck.

Start by changing your diet and walking, it isn't good to just go to the gym if you are overweight. Gentle exercise try walking a few miles a day 4 miles would only be about an hour out of your day (I walk 4 miles a day a and only takes me 35mins but I am used to walking)

you can lose a lot of weight by september, but dont pressure yourself by picking dates. most gym's will give you an exercise programme and will start you slowly and dont be embarassed because people will respect you for trying to change your lifestyle, also try wieghtwatchers they are the best and will give you all the support you need. good luck to you i hope you achieve your goals you are still very young.

First of all do it for you ok:-).
If you realy want to loose weight stuff what they think in the gym prove them all what a strong lady you are.
walk walk walk i lost 6 stone and the only excersize i did was walk.
Drink plenty of water.
When you are sat at home bord thinking if food do something else draw read take your mind of food good luck.

FOR STARTERS I HAVE GOT TO LOSE WEIGHT STEP 1 YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL WITHIN. BE CONFIDENT. GET YOURSELF A SLIMMING BUDDY I AM WILLING TO HELP.MY EMAIL AD IS S.WELLS943@BTINTERNET.COM YOU CAN DO THIS JUST BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

Half the people in gyms are there because they are not happy with their weight, so there is no reason at all to not go because of what they might think of you! Aim to make the gym part of a routine, eg. After work and before dinner on Monday... And don't over-do it, it will just make it miserable and put you off!

Small, lifestyle type changes are probably easier to keep up, even if you don't see as drastic results: Go for long walks at the weekend, don't buy that creamy latte on the way to work, take the stairs instead of the lift, cut out the takeaways...

Oh yer, don't constantly weigh yourself! Throw out the scales, then buy some more before the wedding - judge yourself on how much healthier you feel instead.

Dont be shy about going to the gym because of your size. When i see over weight people at the gym, i respect them because my thinking is, hey, at least they are working on it and doing something about it. Im at the gym all the time and ive seen many people in you situation get great results. And if you watch the Biggest Loser, you know diet is just as important as working out. Make sure you eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hours every day. Low fat high protein diet. And eat things that you get more food mass with lower calories, the are many veggies that will do this. This makes you feel full while still getting low calories. And remember calories is the key, burn more calories than you take in and you will lose weight. If your not ready for the gym yet, start your diet, and walk 30 minutes every day until you are. Force yourself to do it at first, when you see those first few pounds come off, you will be motivated.

What you can do is to go on a high protein diet. Don't eat any kinds of rice, bread, flour, potatoes, biscuits and basically anything that's starchy. You can eat lots of protein, which means you can eat chicken, beef, pork, fish, shrimps, cuttlefish and also fruits and vegetables. Also try an internet search on "high-protein" diets. It's the same as a low carb diet. You increase you proteins and decrease your carbs. It works. Very quickly. Good luck.

well if you do not start going there or to any other gym , you know what result you will get . you should move from this loop you are in. just break the ice. who cares what people will say ?! people say so many things.......think about your own benefit . So just start ASAP and soon you will feel better and better with each workout and after each week of your diet behind you.

The reason why you are over weighted is your 1.life stile 2-your mental state. it is a big deal to change it and to be realistic it is not always possible to do it on your own. lets face it- it is not only matter of extra weight, quality of your life is poor if you don
