I Want to Improve my figure?!

Question: I work full time and go to school and don't have time to do most "long term" exercises. I am 5'6" and weigh roughly 165 lbs. I want to get into better shape. My stomach is my trouble area as well as my bust and thighs. I have a very pudgy stomach and look like a square. What can I do to create some curves, like an hourglass? And specific exercises? My bust is big. I am a 38C which is hard to work with. What can I do to make them "lift" more or at least feel more toned to wear they dont "droop"? My thighs are big and flabby. I walk a lot but nothing seems to help. Any specific exercise that will help lean them out or make them more toned and skinny? Please understand I have hardly any money to even consider surgery. I need a lot of exercise advice. Please help me.

I'm not a woman but if I was, and if I wished to retain or improve my curves, the only exercises I'd do lots of would be yoga/pilates, dancing and walking (and maybe a little bit of swimming)

Since you want to lose weight, you'll also need to address your diet. Please post a typical day so we can give feedback and suggestions :)

In general aim for smaller meals throughout the day - 1 every 2-3 hrs (around 6 total) as opposed to 3 big meals with large time gaps in between. The former is better for many reasons (metabolism, blood sugar, energy) and you're less likely to snack. Drink lots of water.

Aim to get your diet as natural as possible. Consider reducing amount of carbs (especially at night) and eat low-gi stuff most of the time. Drink lots of water, if you do need snacks go for fruit, nuts and a little bit of dark chocolate.

You may be someone who does well by eliminating certain things altogether such as diary, read meat or wheat.

Start off walking for 20-30mins each day in the morning, 5 days a week. Then increase it to 2x a day - first walk in the morning, second walk in the evening.

That would be a good foundation. However, unless you improve on the diet front too, you're unlikely to make good progress.

Depending on your current habits, you may have to make some major changes in your life to get near the body you want. But it's possible, it's just a question of whether how bad you want it and how consistent and perseverant you can be with your efforts.

Aim to be as healthy as you can be and the rest will take care of itself.

go to the gym 3x a week and get a trainer also do core exercises and aerobics and eat a balanced Diet

Surya Namaskaras!

pilates is good for working and shaping your waistline because i heard a pilates instructor say that when u just do sit-ups you get your flat stomach but you stay lookin squared which explains why alot of the women who do alot of working out dont have that pretty shaped waistline so yeah i recomand pilates theres like videos on youtube that explain this

listen dear, nice body doesn't come free and easy. u seem to be out of shape. u need to exercise a lot. i exercise 2 hours every day and i am in perfect shape, i am just maintaining it. so i guess u should exercise at least not less. so if u want work and go to school and u absolutely do not find time for exercising u may just forget about nice body. cos it requires dedication. u have to do 1 hour a day hard core cardio with very high heart rate and at least one hour light weight training without rest between sets (maintain high heart rate). otherwise u may just forget about everything. there re no magic exercises or pills and even if u find money for surgery if u do not exercise and eat right it all will come back as soon as swelling goes down

lol im going trough the lose weight and get fit thing to

hope it helps

You need to develop a workout schedule that fits your needs... find a cardio program that works for you whether that be jogging, walking, etc. You also need to eat. breakfast is a key to get your metabolism going right in the morning. Drink a lot of water. I am a guy but drinking water is crucial even for me and it is recommended that i drink around 1 gallon of water per day so thats key in losing weight. hitting the weights will help you tone up your problem areas...
Finding a cardio schedule, eating healthy, drinking water, and lifting weights are what you need... Surgery is not really a good option and u can lose weight without it. Good luck with your goals and don't set your goals too high or you will give up if you don't reach them so set a reasonable goals.

Eat healthy.See that you dont have any underlying disease that causes weight gain. You can join or do yoga at home, but it should b done properly to get best results.Wish u a good figure.B positive and b happy.

I am a certified personal trainer with the BCRPA. You should do your cardio before every workout. 5 mins Warm up 20-30 mins cardio a few mins. cool down. You should be working 75-80% of your max Heart Rate. The basic formula is 220-age should equal your basic max HR. Then go into your resistance training, tou should be lifting more then 8 reps but, not over 12. so you have to find the right weights for you. Last but not least, you should stretch. Remember rest is part of training too. About your diet, please check out the canada food guide, just goggle it. If you need help designing a program let me know. My email is pitbull604@yahoo.com. I hope I've helped you with your fitness goals.

exercising and eating rite is def the way to go even if u wanna take medicine for it but the thing about exercising is that u start burning calories after 20 min b/c the body will wanna use up the energy thats already available before tapping into the stored fat =(
if u wanted to tone your body do resistance training such as lifting weights. muscle will burn more calories. theres this one exercise i did that would really help: start by sitting at the edge of the table or chair and make sure you can grab onto the table/chair. lift ur knees up to about the same height as ur chest, you should be able to feel the lower stomach muscle shaking, then bring down ur knees but ur feet should only be a few inches away from the floor, not completely touching it. repeat the process and you'll feel it the next day but you can usually see a flatter lower stomach in a week or two

other things are what they tell you on oprah...eating for example. dont eat 3-4 hours before bed, dont binge eat, avoid high caloric and fatty foods. but you can eat every other hour as long as you keep the portion small and breakfast is a big thing b/c it starts ur metabolism. eating every few hours also stimulate ur metabolism to burn fat compared to if u were not eating frequently....then your body would go into a store mode to store every possible energy source by converting it to fat. eat lotsa fiber, veggies, its got no caloric value but help food move along the digestive tracts while too much meaty stuff only slows peristalsis, contraction of muscle moving food down the intestine. also check ur bmr to see the minimum calorie u need and start from there

i hope this helps...im 5'5" and weight 145 and i'v always struggled with my weight while all my friends ate and never gained a pound. but dont be too bogged down about it just try to be healthy
