Calories today?!


Question: i ate about 1000 calories today and i went to the gym i really want to lose weight and i wanted to know if that is enough calories or do i need more or should i eat less?

1,000 calories is most likely too few. Try upping your calories by at least 500 and then exercise to burn 200-300. Look up "BMI" which is Body Mass Index and that should tell you generally if you're overweight or not. Also, it should lead you to finding out what your BMR - Basic Metobolic Rate is...that is the amount of calories your body burns a day just to maiting normal bodily functions (breathing, digesting food...basically living!) Once you know how many calories you need to consome per day (your BMR) then you can cut that by a little bit (probably not more than 20%) and make up the rest of your calorie defecit with exercise.
