How many push ups should i do?!


Question: Im trying to lose fat and tone up at the same time i walk on my treadmill everyday when i get a chance but how many push ups should i do so i will not look flabby and saggy when all my weight slides off I am a male 19 going on 20 in may i am 6 feet tall and weigh 220 pounds my target weight goal is 180

I'd say start 25 reps (repetitions) and do 3 sets (x3). You should start to feel the burn by the time you get to the end of the third set.

In-between, rest for 30 seconds or so and just do a little stretching. Standing up from your press up position and stretching out your arms and chest.

The often you do this, the more accustomed your boy will become. Now increase you reps from 25 to maybe 30 or 35 even! By increasing, you will feel it but will be building strength as you do so.

If you're having difficulty doing a normal press up, then as a tip assume the position but rather than balancing on your toes as you would do normally, use your knees instead - just until you build enough strength to do a full body press up and once again build up from there!

well.. u want to lose the weight first.
and there is no number as to how many pushups you should do.
push until your body can't be pushed any more.
do however many you can...
say.. you can do 20 without a sweat.
do reps of 20 with stretching in between.
and do as many reps as you can.
until you start to shake.
shaking is goood!
it'll hurt tomorro.. but for toning, and building muscle this is key.
just remember to PUSH!
