5 pounds of fat would have more volume (take up more space) than five pounds of something denser.
Fat floats. Iron sinks. It's a lot denser.
But they both WEIGH the same!

5 lbs of fat weighs is the same as a 5lb. dum bell...the weight is the same, the volume however is different...
5 pounds is 5 pounds! It's like the trick question - Which weighs more, a ton of lead or a ton of feathers? the answer is - A ton is a ton, no matter what!!!
