Skinny people, what do you eat for dinner?!

Question: I am a chubby girl trying very hard to slim down. I have increased my cardio and weight training but I totally get the munchies, especially at night! I want to hear from some of you really thin people, what do you eat at dinner and what time is that? Do you eat any dessert at all?

I have:

Fish with steamed vegetables and small amount of pasta

OR

Quorn cottage pie with carrots

OR

Weightwatchers wholemeal toast (2 slices) with low cal spread and vegetarian soup

OR

Mixed seafood (prawns, squid, mussels etc) with steamed vegetables.

OR

Baked potato with cottage cheese and baked beans

OR

Any vegetarian microwave meal under 300 calories with some steamed vegetables.

Before bed, I either have some fruit and caramel rice cakes or I have a bowl of bran flakes with skim milk.

yes ! duh im skinny and always eat whatever i what to to eat i just dont eat to much of it try cutting down on it

ohh i eat regulary everyday . somedays i do eat dessert. exercise is one of the main keep points on slimming down . just stay activie !

I eat what I want, but only one serving size.

lol well im only 13 and i have a really fast metabolism, but if i eat too much junk i will gain weight. i try to eat healthy still, and excercise. i pretty much have whatever i want, and do eat dessert, but a healthy dinner (also a fave of mine) is grilled salmon with steamed asparagus. try excercising more and eating more lean meats, fish, fruit, and veggies and you should be healthy and thin. good luck..! <33 ohh and also instead of munching junk food, try carrots or nuts or fruit its much healthier and less calories

I eat meat for dinner and also have dessert. If it weren't for my body type, I probably wouldn't be so skinny. It's just how my body works.

I've always eaten the same things as other people, but less of it. Also, drink more water between meals and keep really lo-cal snacks handy. I like the mini rice-cakes.

all I can say is cut down on the carbs!
Don't cut them out completely, but switch your main food group from carbphydrates to protein.
for dinner, my ideal dinner would be.. sweet and sour chicken... with a bit of peas and some fried red pepper and tomato. oh and some slabs of cucumber. wouldnt mind a bit of fish either....
ooh now I'm hungry!

I lost 70 lbs at one time. This happened by being very active (worked out 5 xs/week) and by eating lots of salads & vegies for lunch/dinner. (Breaking up from a very long-term relationship was part of this, too.)Taco salad, with just a little meat/cheese, no tortillas, & salsa for dressing worked well. Had a lowfat b'fast sandwich in the morning. Yes, I ate dessert, but controlled the portion; it was usually ice cream. Dreyers has a good 1/2 fat icecream out now; just be sure to control the portions! ANd that's really the key to it all! I've recently got into gardenburgers which are satisfying, low cal & low fat; try with a little soy sauce & vegie slaw from hungrygirl.com. Lots of good ideas there. And hang in there! Embrace the beauty inside you & that is what people see. Be strong and beautiful, whatever weight your body wants to be.

I am a skinny person. i'm quite sure its just a high metabolism, but i do have the desire to add more meat to my bones but so far nothing has worked. i wish i had actual advice on how to lose weight, but i really actually need the opposite. usually for dinner(a real dinner) at all different times-7pm, 9pm, midnight. It always varies. i will cook up a fairly large steak and i'll also be scrounging around the kitchen for something to have with it. Other days i'll just lose all effort and go for the fast food. Of course I always go for the full super sized meal deals. More bang for your buck as they say. But after about an hour and a half , I'll be hungry again. Luckily I live two seconds away from 7-11, so I'll head over and stock up on chocolate, chips, and beef jerky. Basically I consider that dessert.
Like you said you get the munchies at night, so do I. I dont understand why its usually like that. I would just like to reach the median of body weight, like increasing it by a good 30lbs. I dont want you to feel like I'm the one with the problem but I just want to say that you shouldnt try so hard that it drives you to complete insanity if you dont reach immediate success. Some of my downer days I wont really have the appetite that I usually have and i'll barely eat anything, then a day after i'll be kicking myself for it. Sometimes i'll also use weight training as a tool, but I'll admit, I'M LAZY. I think it also depends on your lifestyle as well. If you make it a habit to continually leave the house to go for walks to wherever or whatever, you'll start to feel like that will make you happier and you'll also notice that its kinda a way the you'll see yourself-a routine walker(probably a better term for it) but yes. I think that when we concern ourselves with something that we want to strive for, we have to chance to get it, but when its the only thing on our minds, it can stress us out and cause us to want to either take a break that will last longer than it should or we give up all together. If we blend our goals and desires in with our daily lives, I think that the other activities will somewhat adapt to that particular goal.
I hope that what I said had some sort of meaning to it. And try not to worry too much, from the sound of your question you seem to be on the right track, there are just several tiny little tricks involved to make the entire process a success.

They eat the same things we all eat - they just throw it up when they are done LOL

I grew up eating my mom's Asian food.. which is generally low fat and healthy. I usually eat a lot and think about food constanty, but it's hard for me to gain weight, likely because of genetics. Right now I live on my own and haven't cooked much of the homemade stuff, but try to every once in awhile make spring rolls or rice noodles to keep healthy.

I have heard people going on an Asian diet (eating Asian food) and losing weight (low fat meals). Don't go to the Chinese fast food restaurants.. those are not real Chinese food. Some easy Asian meals spring rolls (with rice paper not egg rolls) and pad thai. Anything with rice stuff (rice noodles, rice paper) I like. If you want to get advanced, make some home made noodle soup Pho Bo (beef, but take out the fat), or chicken and Banh Canh.

Instead of eating geletin desert (which is high sugar), we use Agar powder or sticks, and flavor it.. Those are low/no fat and I think low sugar.. and you don't have to refrigerate it to set! Asian snacks and deserts seem healthy. You can find recipes online.

You can also go to an authentic Thai restaurant and order spring rolls or noodle and order mango sweet rice desert. Their food is almost like Vietnamese food. Authentic Chinese food also is similar to Vietnamese food. Even ordering the noodle soups from a Japanese restaurant is pretty healthy.

Remember, you also need to eat for energy, which is why you may feel hungry. I find that fruit makes me feel full.. and fruits seem to give great healthy energy. Try a banana.
