I'm just over 5'8" and weigh about 126 lbs. How do I lose the extra!

Question: I have chubby thighs and my stomach is not exactly flat. I would like to lose those extra 26 pounds, but I think doing it over a longish period of time is a good idea.

What is a good long time exercise and diet plan? Is eating healthily and exercising a lot enough? Or do I need to do more?

100 pounds id rediculously skinny for your hight, you are already skinny. But, run for 20 minutes everyday, and try to cut back on your carb and fat intake. Not completely, just be aware of what you are eating and if you are actually hungry. Also try eating slower and taking smaller bites. After your stomache is full, it takes a few moments for your brain to tell you to stop eating, so eating slower, with smaller bites and chewing more will prevent you from over eating.

i think that your pretty skinny for your height i dont think u should lose any wieght but im not one to criticize

you're slim and shapely, don't eat too much fat because it's not good for your health, eat smaller and drink clean and safe water, I describe you're comely, lovely and exotic beauty.

here some tips for you:

How to end the fat loss confusion
These are the same principles I used to drop over 40 pounds of unwanted body fat, keep it off, and revitalize my life! With any exercise or nutrition program, you'll probably lose some fat initially, but far too often the progress doesn't continue or doesn't come as fast as the person would like because they're using a temporary mindset. They're only focused on the short term and one specific goal. So they end up switching to something else, and the cycle continues until they've become consumed by this cycle of confusion.I believe that this is one of the biggest, if not the #1 reason for the lack of fat loss and fitness progress that is being experienced by the masses of exercisers and dieters in the world. They are jumping from one fad diet or exercise routine to another, while losing sight of what's really important, and what really works.

at 5'8" u must look great don't change a thing

Sounds like all you need to do is exercise and tone up the areas you want to improve. That's a pretty decent weight for your height.

you dont need to loose any weight
i'm 5'7 and i weight 136 and i'm pretty thin

ure 5'8 and 126...PERFECTLY FINE if not too skinny? please dont become obessed with your weight like the rest of america is. its not healthy. my mother is about 5'7 and she weighs 140 and she is FINE.

You must be a comedienne. -LL

I have a formula to tell you hoe mant calories to burn a day to lose it, but you are already too thin for your weight. I would sudgest if you want to tone parts of your body, that you work on doing cruches, and leg lift, walking. you dont need to lose any weight at all, i am 5 foot 2, and you are a healthy weight for my hight. Just tone up if you want to flaten out. This is what you should weigh:
According to your height of 5' 8" your ideal healthy weight is 147 pounds. Your recommended weight range is between 131 and 164 pounds.

At 5'8" weighing 100 pounds would be anorexic. Talk to your doctor, parents, high school fitness coach or go online to discover what your normal weight should be, 126-139 for an adult aged 25.

Eating healthy, exercising in moderation and having fun are all obtainable goals.

youd have to be anorexic to get that skinny...so dont eat!! duh.
want faster results, just keep your body moving...so get off yahoo answers. again, duh.

yea, anorexia is bad for you, but im sure you know better so i wont preach the obvious..

good luck with your slow death :)

baby fat dont worry

lol...i love being a black chick...we didn't go through stupid sh*t like this during puberty.

This may be a shot in the dark, but maybe you're "skinny fat" meaning that you have a higher than average percentage of body fat despite your low overall weight. Contrast that with a bodybuilder who's 5'8 and weighs 210 lbs, but has less than 3 percent fat. He certainly wouldn't look like he's obese like any given height/weight ratio chart would say. Given your low weight, I would not suggest a lot of cardio. Instead focus on moderate weight lifting and maintain a protein rich diet spread out over 4-6 small meals a day (keeps you full longer and burns more energy). If you get good advice from a professional trainer, it wouldn't make you look weird and can actually improve the look of your thighs and stomach. Though of course, your weight may stay the same or increase because muscles weigh more than fat . Yet, you might look better than someone who's 100 lbs. Remember that muscles burns a lot more calories than fat, which is why starvation diets don't work since you end up losing significant amounts of muscles. Without these, your body does not need as many calories to function normally as before, so one may eat less and stay the same weight. The point being, unless you're anorexic, there's no better way to avoid weight gain and looking fat than having muscles.

If you want to be thin for its own sake, you can see how
body weight can be a very deceptive measure of how healthy/ attractive you are (e.g. skinny fat). There's much more unhealthy/ weird looking skinny people out there than you think!

You need psychological help if the goal for you is not to be healthy weight. You sound like you're on your way to an eating disorder, please talk to someone.

i think your weigh is perfect, you do not need to lose any kgs.
