Start out slowly. My parents used to have a treadmill with a built in TV...it was pretty cool, it definitely helped pass the time. Or put some music on. You don't have to do it all at once. Why not try it in 30 minute increments? This way you can do something else, such as another exercise or even cleaning a room in your home. As long as you keep moving because if you sit and rest and then go back to walking you could get a muscle cramp.

take breaks

Put it in front of the tv and throw a good movie in.

Are you sure your burned calories is correct. I walk for an hour every morning and I burn over 1,000 in one session. The machine is just an estamation. Everyone burns calories different. You can purchase a calorie counter that you wear that will determine the calories burned to the person wearing it.

To help you stay on the tremil longer, what I did was rent movies I have never seen before. I get so involved in the movie that I forgot i was on tredmil for the length of the movie.

Wow 2 hours is alot. Well when I walk 1 hour I make sure I have no distractions, door locked, a bottle of water and a radio so I can blast some loud music (I cant walk without music)
Another way you can lose weight faster is change between walking jogging and running for and hour. I believe you can burn 500 calories as well if you jump rope for an hour. Good luck!

umm .. well i run on a treadmill and burn 800 in an hour ?
why will it take 2 full hours ?
i say do interval type jogging .. jog for a bit then walk for a bit it shouldbe over before you know it ..
if you have a book to read or a television in front of you it makes the time go by super fast!
an ipod with upbeat songs is great to keep you going too!

Do you mean 2 hours in one go; or individually over a long period of time?
Either way, be sure to keep plenty of water nearby, and take plenty of breaks. But just try not to snack too much on junk food, during these intervals.

2 hours is a lot! What you can do is do it slowly at first and then make it faster, so at least you don't too much in just one day!!!
Good Luck!!!!

That is a long time on a treadmill, read a magazine. Keep hydrated and take breaks. If I am on a tread for 2 hours I would need to break to at least pee. Listen to your body and you will be fine.
