you should drink 5-9 Glasses of Water to keep you healthy and give you energy. remember that keeping hydrated helps you think better and probably helps you make some more wiser desicions when you have energy to think than when you have no energy.

half your weight in ounces. For instance, if I weigh 128lbs, I drink 64oz of water(8 cups). Another way to do it is a cup for every 16lbs but that just gets complicated, lol.
