Weight loss using elliptical?!
Question: I'm 5'4 145 lbs and want to be 125-130 lbs. I'd like to be at that weight by 4/20...anniversary! I use elliptical 4-5 times a week, (1 1/2 weeks now), using workout mode burning 400 calories in 30 minutes. Resting calorie burn is about 1,440 and I eat about 1500 calories a day. I also strength train with 5lb hand weights and do squats and stuff like that 4 times a week. I do cheat with food at times like having a donut but try to even it out sometime throughout the day. Am I on the right track or is it not possible to lose close to 20 lbs by April. Is there anything different I should be doing? Thanks!!!

My girlfriend uses her eliptical about 5-6 days a week for 1/2 hour - 45 minutes at a time. She hasn't seemed to lose much weight. I think if she took "Alli" diet pills with excercising and vitamins she would lose weight faster. She stopped taking "Alli" and then gained a little weight back.
