Okay, Has anyone ever lost 15-20lbs in 2 months without TONS of exersize?!


Question: Okay I'm 5'6 and I weight 154. In the summer I was about 143 and about a year ago I was 135. I've been gaining weight and I'm on my feet all day at work and everything. Also I work at subway, so theres really not that much there that can make me gain that much. I'm going to Las Vegas this summer, and I really want to look great. I rarely go out anymore because I just feel discusting. I don't even look like I weigh 154 my friends are like " are you lying" but I think they're just being nice. Anyways, please help. I'm like desperate at this point but I have school and then right to work and then right to bed and over again. I'm desperate. I need some honesty.

I've lost 20-15 pounds in 2 months. Went from 160 to 145 ish. I did it before my wedding. I walked (at as brisk a pace as I could) almost every day for about 45 min to an hour. I also counted calories (first and only time I have!) and kept them to 1300 a day. I am 5'4. It actually didn't feel like that much exercising or dieting at the time, but I was super motivated so that probably really helped.

well every morning b4 u go to work go for a jog around ur block or road or where every u live it will make u feel better and you should loose a couple ibs.

If they have it wasn't good for them. PS, just being on your feet all day won't help you lose weight and stay healthy. You need to take ten minutes here and there to jog in place or something.

PS all that stress doesn't help your body keep weight off either.
Look for ways to simplify your schedule and get in good rest, meals, and exercise.

That's the honesty you asked for. Sorry if it hurts. You'll be happier if you take time for your well being.

Really, if you don't look like you have 154 it's probably because you have healthy weight from muscle, and a good strong frame. I think you'll be okay, but you have to do the difficult stuff which sometimes amounts to simplifying by getting rid of extra stress and spending time doing something that breaks you into a good honest sweat.

Yeah, it's called liposuction, or you can always get rid of some organs.

No pain, no gain.

Its dueable to lose that much weight but not the smartest. I've lost 56 pounds from a strict diet and light exercise. Eating healthy and small portions (5 small meals a day type thing) and walking a few times a week will definenely improve your weight goal. Good luck and you aren't fat in my opinion so don't stress so much!

i lost about 10 pounds in a month by not doing much. i went to the gym for kickboxing for an hour a week, ate pretty normally (cereal for breakfast, big lunch and carb-minimised dinner), i dont even drink that much water....i know it's bad, it's much better if u drinks loads.

and the most important thing - sleep lots!! it's much better if u can sleep between 10-1 cos that's when the body restores itself. if u miss sleep during those crucial hours, ur body will have a hard time flushing away toxins etc, leaving u bloated.

to give u a better picture, i'm 5'4" and now 120 lbs.

ps. if u are really motivated, i recommend using the sparkpeople.com website. it's great - it give u meal plans that u can follow and adjust if u dont like the food. (and it's FREE) i only managed to follow it for a week or two, but that's becos i always eat dinner with my parents. but u do get the the gist after a while and modify ur diet accordingly.

oh yeh and it's better if u dont eat out. a) u tend to overeat with friends b) they always use so much oil to cook! have u seen cooking shows?!

pps. sorry i forgot, i find that it's always better to eat less rather than exercise more. the way i see it is, u run vigorously on that damn machine for an hour, u end up burning, what, 500 calories?? u might as well just cut the piece of cake and use the hour doing something u enjoy.

but of course, by exercising, u're toning urself so u should be doing some. i just dont see the need to drive urself crazy over it.

You can't lose that much weight without exercise. You can lose about 2-4 pounds of fat per week, at the most. And not all subway is very healthy. You need to eat 100%whole wheat/100%whole grain bread. That white bread turns into fat right away. Being on your feet all day doesn't make you lose weight. To lose weight, you need to eat less and do lots of cardio like running, jogging, cycling, or swimming.
