Does cycling help to reduce your belly fat?!


Question: Hi. I am a very busy woman, and somehow I manage to go to gym thrice a week. Other 4 days, can I just do cycling over at home? Is cycling gonna help me to reduce my belly fat?

Cycling is a great cardio workout. Low joint impact. I do mine outside on a regular bicycle. Sorry you don't have time for that.

It will help you lose weight, but sorry, you can't direct where your body loses the weight. It decides that for itself.

Most ppl do situps/crunches to tighten up their ab muscles as they lose weight if belly fat is a concern. Seems like the belly fat is the last to go.

absolutely, cycling is cardio....cardio reduces body fat, its a great exercise to lose the fat....but realize that the fat in your stomach is the last place your body removes fat, so first it will take from arms/legs/face, then the stomach

yes, it will help, but don't get down if you are not losing any weight, and Ill tell you why. Working out Burns fat, yeah, but you also gain muscle. You just have to keep at it and you will see results. If you start feeling better, and have more energy, then that means you are making progress.

You can't burn fat in any one place faster than any other place on your body. It only appears that way sometimes.
If you do push ups and you will tighten your chest while your stomach remains soft. But it's not because you burned fat in one area and not in another. It's because you tightened the muscles in one area and not another. Also, fat is not equally spread. You may have more to lose in one area than another.

Cycling will help reduce belly fat. BUT, if you want to see the biggest improvement, and faster results, combine the cardio with some tightening exercises. And sit ups aren't the only way.
Try this; lay on your stomach, get into a push up position but have your elbows and forearm flat on the ground, with only your forearms (hand to elbow) and toes touching the ground, hold yourself up for about 30 seconds, then touch your right knee down for 2 seconds, bring it back up. Repeat with the left knee. You'll be working your stomach muscles and really start to see a differnce and you'll feel it too!
