what you need to do is cut portions eat about 1800 cal a day and 10 min arent going to do anything you need at least 30 min 3x per week. then add weights but at least do cardio 3x for 30 min is really big. I know I am a personal fitness trainer

Your question is impossible to answer, as we don't know how many calories you are taking in daily.
I can tell you this though, 10mins on a cross trainer is not a lot of exercise. At a very rough guess, that will burn between 40 and 150 calories depending on your weight and how hard you're working it.

If you expend more calories than you take in, you will lose weight.

If you take in more calories than you expend, you will gain weight.

Technically, yes: If you exercise (and it is MORE than you used to do), and you eat the same amount of calories, you should lose weight.
But, to be honest, 10 min/day is really not a lot of exercise. It is still a great step, especially if you had previously had no activity at all. However, you would be better off doing 30 minutes a day on at least 3 days per week to actually lose weight.

You have to exercise for at least 30 minutes to get good results. Based on your current workout, you might lose some weight very slowly. For best results exercise twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.
