I took phentermine for about 6-8 weeks. I think it worked very well with the plan my doctor put me on but it was a "severe" diet plan. I think I lost about 18lbs while taking it. You will lose the most weight the first couple weeks your on it and then you'll taper off to about 2-3lbs a week. I didn't have any side effects but I've heard it can make you irritable. It does have major side effects like heart problems that you should read up on before taking just so that your aware of them. I did like it and would like to go back on it but my insurance don't pay for the doctor visits which is the expensive part, the pills themselves only cost me $15 for a 2 week supply.
