Are lean cuisine/weight watchers microwaveable dinners, healthy or not?!

Question: They claim to be lower-calorie than standard dinners, and both of these weight-loss companies push them. I tried a couple. They taste fine by my standards, and the calorie content is "somewhat" on the lower side, but when you look at the ingredients label you see about 100,000,000 things.

Which makes me ask, is this stuff really healthy, or is it just putting more garbage in our bodies?

Thanks.

Healthy means so many different things to different people that you can't really say and have to rely on your own judgement.

These things are generally low in calories, fat and sodium. They are also fortified with certain vitamins and minerals so technically they could be considered "healthy".

I's say they'd be okay for the occasional meal when you don't have the time to actually cook, but they shouldn't make up the bulk of your diet.

the main thing to pay attention to is the amount of sugar, carbs protein and fat are in each one. I think the healthy choice ones have really high sugar but you'd just have to compare the others. you want one with low sugar and fat and adequate protein and not too many carbs...also look for fiber aka veggies

Yes they are healthy. They are often low in fat, calories, and cholesterol. They also limit the portions that you are getting. The only thing is that they are usually high in sodium (salt). So if you drink a lot of water during the day 6-8 glasses then this will help flush out the excess sodium that you are getting.

They are if you are watching your weight, but they do have a ton of sodium in them. Be very careful and do not eat too much of it.
