How many lbs. of fruits/veggies should a person consume in 1 day to have a healt!
Question: I don't know about how many pounds, but I'll tell you what I know.
The recommended amount to eat per day is five servings. However, I try to eat at least seven or eight, and vary the types that I eat as much as possible. Fruits and vegetables are the ONE food that you can probably eat as much as you want of and never get fat (that is, unless, you eat 5 avocados a day). Eat as many as you can take in a day...try two or three servings with each meal. If you're extremely active and require a lot of calories, eat even more.
If you're not used to eating a lot of fruits and veggies, it may take some getting used to. However, after awhile, you'll be beginning to crave fruits and veggies over other things you would have previously ate, like chips or other snack food.
