Haven't worked out in 2 weeks, what exercise should I do?!
Question: I'm a sporadic exerciser. It's difficult for me to get to the gym in the winter (I go in the warmer months because it's light out in the morning, I will not walk to the gym before dawn for safety reasons).
I'm going to go tonight for the first time in 2 weeks, normally at night I have too much going on to be able to get there, but I can tonight. What type of workout should I do to boost my energy but not get sore?

The elliptical machine. It's wonderful. I never feel sore, because it's not hard on your joints like a treadmill, but you still burn a good amount of calories. It's fantastic.
chest curl some 10's
start with a slow jog about 6mins + whatever you can handle. Then the cross trainer, bike etc cardio vascular is always the best. And then swimming if its inclued in your membership, swimmings ace lol ! X
I missed going for 2 months and I went back yesterday and did my normal time but on a bit lower resistance on the elliptical. Today, I used the recumbent bike and did as much distance as ever, though on a lower resistance. 2 weeks isn't that long - you shouldn't lose much muscle tone, particularly if you're under 40 yrs. old.
