when you're trying to lose weight sometimes the body will want to "set" itself at a particular weight and it becomes a little more difficult to shed the pounds. if you hit the plateau just keep going on your workout even if you don't see the pounds go down, eventually after a couple of weeks you'll lose weight again.

a weight loss plateau is basically when you work out for a number of weeks or months, and change your diet, you loose weight for a while and then the weight loss stops or becomes much slower. In order to get over a plateau you must change your exercise program.

A weight loss plateau is simply the point at which the body no longer responds to the stimulus and thus you no longer lose weight. To avoid hitting a plateau here are some tips

1) Do full body workouts pairing upper and lower exercises

2) Vary the number of repetitions performed from workout to workout

3) Change the exercises used every 3 - 4 weeks

4) Allow the body to recover between workouts by taking a day off in between

5) Focus on eating healthy and avoid calorie restricted diets

Its when your metabolic rate stabeloized after you lowerd your calorie intake for a short period of time. so lets say your 166 and taking in 2000 calories when you drop that too 1000 calories youll loose weight but soon you wont anymore becuase your metabolism has the point were it can sustain energy on 1000 calories so if you raise it back up to 2000 youll gain weight
