What kind of workouts should i be doing for track?!
Question: I need some workouts to do for the days when we dont have practice. I dont want to get out of shape for the next week when we do.

Run 3 Miles Everyday.
Do Pushups and Sit Ups
do 10 pushups 10 sit ups
9 pushups 9 sit ups

Sprints every other day and you can also use a weighted vest or run uphill.
How out of shape are you gonna get in a week? Give ur bod time to recover between practices, that's the point of not doing it evry day. Or if ur not satisfied w/ that, a short/ light run (3 miles?) at an easy pace, followed w/ some crunches.
the best workout for running is, well, running. Try conditioning
walk 5 min to warm up and then
jog 3 walk 1
and repeat it about 6 or 7 times.
then walk 5 min again to cool down.
If you are more advanced you can change the 3 min to 5 or whatever you feel is comfortable.
A strong core will help with energy transfer throughout the body and leg strength is also beneficial and functional. Start with simple, strength based exercises and progress to doing plyometric exercises etc.
Some exercises to get you started could include:
Squats
Single leg squat
Single leg deadlift
Lunge
Single leg bridging
TvA setting
Climbers Walk
Walkout push up
