Does pureeing food lower fiber count?!

Question: I'm having trouble with constipation. I think need more fiber in my diet. I made a cabbage/vegetables soup but I don't like the texture. I blended it in the blender and I think it tastes better that way. Will it still contain the same amount of fiber as when it was bulkier?

Pureeing will not effect fiber content. Dietary fiber is made up of plant matter that your body can't digest, which is why it pushes through and cleans out your digestive tract. Puree away!

Regardless of what you do to the food, the fiber will still be there.
