Weight gain due to medication?!

Question: Why is it so hard to lose the final 10 pounds I gained due to medication. I was told the hardest weight to lose is that gained due to medication.

I am not big, but I like my normal size.

Any suggestions!!!

Weight gain is super hard to lose! Medication weight gain especially. If you have lost some and you are at the "plateau" I would recommend strenuous cardio workouts, swimming, and eating low carbohydrate foods. Stay away from trans fat and saturated fat foods as well. Salads are good and so is yogurt.
I also have gained weight from medications and this worked for me.
Good luck to you. It can be hard, just have patience and you'll do great!

start drinking 6 glasses a day of water.

I want to lose 10 more too. Gained 50 pounds taking Paxil!

I know what you mean, my doctor prescribed three chocolate donuts daily.

Try switching your exercise routine up a bit. Sometimes your body gets used to the routine if you continue the same exercise daily, and so it just stops responding to losing weight.

WATER IS GREAT AND GET PLENTY OF EXCERCISE! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO LOSE THE WEIGHT THAT YOU'VE LOST ALREADY?

water is a very good idea as we retain about 5-6 pounds of water naturally if you only have 10 pounds to lose WATER is the ticket it will make you pee therefore ridding your body of
unwanted water weight

chill-ax......tell ur doc. if is over 20 lbs.....becuz....u might keep
growing.....and get phat..fat........thats y i do not use meds. 2
lose weight.i do it the hard way....was it the....allis.... weight loss med.

Weight gained through medication is usually fat. Dieting won't get rid of that, at least not on it's own.

Dieting makes your body adjust to use the number of calories you eat each day, which means it won't move on to burn fat as a mean of energy.

Doing cardiovascular exercises (running/jogging is great for this) while on a low calorie-diet will cause your body to need more energy. Since you won't be getting enough calories, it'll move on to the next source of energy: fat.

That's really all you need. Good luck.
