30 lbs in 3 months is quite a bit. But don't jump to conclusions just yet. He might just be going through a growth stage in puberty. If that's the case, it could be perfectly normal, and might balance out in another month or two.

Even so, it would be wise to watch what he eats. If he's eating too many snacks or fast foods, you might want to talk to him about it. When I was 13 or 14, I remember I put on some pounds because I ate a lot too. But after a year or two, I slimmed down, partly because I grew taller, but I also started lifting weights and running. Today I'm in excellent shape because of the habits I started back then.

If you're worried he's getting too plump, encourage him to do stuff with you. You could go for bike rides, ski, play a game of golf, or just go for walks with him, for a few examples. It's nice that you're concerned for him. But also keep in mind that at your age, relationships don't last that long. 8 months is quite impressive as it is. Don't be afraid to break up with him if he starts getting out of control. It wouldn't be shallow.

HOLY ****....he gained 30 pounds in 3 months????? your right that is unhealthy...and if he keeps going the same way he will be 60 pounds heavier in a half a year!....get him to go outside and play you guys are kids....thats what kids do...

dude your 13 you won be with him in another year anyways. Leave his fat ***.

try making jokes about his weight gain... maybe he'll get the idea... or try to get him to get active agian.. try doing activities together .. like go biking together.. u can try to do bets with him .. like sports competitions..ex: who can bike to the hill the fastest etc.... or if all fails.. tell him.. although i think theres probably a reason for his weight gain.. no1 just stops being healthy without a reason.. try finding out wats actually wrong wit him.. good luck

God you are naive. First of all, who the **** would care what a 13 year old looks like, including 13 year olds . Second of all, if you are not sexually active ( no duh) the why the **** would you care!
