Meat, poultry, eggs, cheese, nuts and beans are all high in protein. If that is too heavy for working out try a protein shake from your nearest health food store.

It's really good to have a chicken ceasar salad right before. Also, an egg, some garbanzos, or a peice of turkey or something. protein bars, like pure protein, or protein plus, or powerbar will work well, too.
Unless you're building muscle you don't need a protein boost. And you'd take that after working out, never before.
Yogurt is a good source of protein as well as lean meat. You can also do the protein shakes.

I would say a smoothie with fruit, yogurt, juice. It really energizes me. i have not tried it when i was working out, but I'm sure it would be good for you.
also smoothies are really good for you. so it be great for working out.
