I have been prescribed steriods in the past for psoriasis, and take them now (methotrexate) for rheumatoid arthritis.
I had to take cortisol a couple of times. Pro was that I didn't die or become extremely ill. I didn't see any cons.
I was prescribed medical steroids when I tore my rotator cuff in my shoulder. They were to help it to heal, only took them for about a month. My shoulder is fine now, and I have no side effects what so ever.

but you should know that they make you get boobs, more hair or loss of hair, umm make certien things on men smaller, hurt your internal orgians, mood swings and can also lead to more serious problems.
believe me there is no pros to using steroids
unless perscribed by a doctor........then their is a reason and he will explain everything.
well i dont use them but i know people who have asthma and have to use it because its either in there medicine or either the doctor said it was a have to. The pros are it builds up what ever is weak in your body asthmetics most of the timehave weak hearts or weak lungs. so it builds their lungs up. The cons of it all is that it makes oyu heavier it do add on weight whether it be fat or muslce
