Building Muscle for Summer?!

Question: OK, I basically had no muscle or fat, I was basically skin and bones. I thought to myself that I looked pathetic and I needed to do something about it so I did. I started with pushups and situps everyday, resting on sunday for a rest. I've begun to notice that I've started making some muscle and so I bought some dumbells to make the process go quicker. At the moment I lift 5kg which is about 11lb. I know it's not much but if I did that everyday how quickly will the muscle grow? I eat a lot of meat and drink lots of water and eat fruit and veg everyday. How long do you recon it'll take to get some decent muscle that can actually be noticed?

Hmm firstly if you gave an age figure it would be easier to say cos i could base it on testosterone levels, and what weight i would expect you to be lifting.

But your diet seems to be very good which is very important. However if you want to increase muscle mass instead of endurance i would consider heavier weights with lower reps and not doing it everyday maybe just 3X a week (mon, wed and fri).

You should start to see results within a month or so.

What are you doing with the 11 lbs? Curls, Bench Press, etc.?

you need to rest your muscle, if you train everyday the same muscle your killing him , try doing it in separetes days and work some other area in between
Here are some training video rutines, its impressive
