It's not the calories you should worry about, the levels of fat. E.g Pasta has some calories but most of it is made up of carbohydrate. A healthy diet is not one where you eat as less as you can, it's one where you eat your fair share of protein, fibre fat and Carbohydrate. Pasta, rice, fruit.

Eating foods that are high in lean protein (like chicken or fish) will help you stay full longer. Also try foods that are high in fiber which will give you a longer lasting feeling of fullness.

Yup. There called fruits and veggies. No but seriously eat lots of fruits and vegtables a day and you wont fill yourself up on crap. Drink water only and no more juice and pop or "sports drinks". Eat leaner meats and dont cook with lots of oils. Also choose whole grains vs bleached out white crap. Whole grains keep you fuller longer.

Definitely fruits and veggies. Brothy (not cream) soups are very good in winter. Also, sometimes if I'm not satisfied with a meal, I will have a cup of hot tea, and by the time I'm done with it, i realize i'm full.
Also, air-popped popcorn (not yucky microwave kind)
