How many crunches, pushups, etc. should I be able to do?!

Question: I'm 15 years old and about 5'7, 130 lbs.
I was just wondering, how many pushups and crunches/situps should I be able to do in one maximized rep?
I've been trying to improve on my strength, so I'm just wondering what level I'm currently at.

If you could provide evidence to back up your claims, that would be great! :]

Quite frankly, when you are fit, you can do sit-ups almost non-stop. At 15 I would get to 300 then just stop out of sheer boredom.

I could do 50 push ups but then my arms were dead for a while.

Your weight and height don't really matter because you are moving your own body weight.

For strength, you are actually better focusing on low rep high weight activities. If you have no access to weights, check out the kind of exercises the guy over at Spartan 300 is doing.

It should give you some serious ideas. Also check out some of the stuff they are doing at Gym Jones. They find a lot of stuff to throw around that you can probably find in your garage:

Oh yeah... before I forget, you should definitely check out crossfit...

OK this is kinda hardcore but they have a great philosophy about what fitness really is.

while it depends if u just startinh training u wont be able to do much but if u trained for a long time u should be able to do quite a lot i tink 40 pushups and 40 crunches easily IF you train for quite some while

ahhh - there is no way we can tell you!

sorry but we dont know your strength - the best way to know how many your can/should do -- just do them! Do them until you can do anymore (try a 2min drill) do pushups and situps straight for 2 min! If you get tired/ start to hurt do until you cant do anymore then stop.

Actually right now: DROP AND GIVE ME 20!!!:couldn't resist- but honestly no-one can tell you except yourself.

With knee pushups in 2 minutes 20 pushups a rest of no more than 10 minutes and 2 minutes timed 30 crunches. Meeting or exceeding those would prove you are physically fit.
