How many push ups and sit ups will it take to get a good looking chest? and how !
Question: Well, 1st, only push ups will develop your chest, not sit ups. And it's not about "how many", but the quality of your workout, rest and nutrition... Doing push ups only won't get you a chest like Arnold, but they can help make it look better..
Let's come to the point. There are different variations of the push ups - your hands shoulder width apart, wider than shoulder width, closer than shoulder width, elevated feet.
Use your back pack (school bag) on your back, and put weights in it. Use as much weights as needed. If you need to do 8 repetitions, use weights which will allow you to perform ONLY 8 reps, NOT more.
A bodyweight chest workout I would recommend is:
Shoulder Width Push Ups - 3 sets 12, 8, 6 reps
Wider Push Ups - 3 sets 12, 8 ,6 reps
Close grip Push Ups - 3 sets 12, 8, 6 reps
Elevated feet Push Ups - 3 sets 12, 8, 6 reps
