Lots of water and try to be healthy not thin... you are not fat and that is one way to start by saying you are beautiful in all your essence. Why are you losing weight? Health purposes or beauty? Always go for health... Water, fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, some cardio, and sleep. Also get a partner to join you it allows for some companionship and support. Simple exercises like walking 30 min. at a moderate pace, situps, squats, jogging, swimming, or even jump rope... eat breakfast and don't eat late... cut back on sugars and salt... good luck!

www.sparkpeople.com, it's free. Join and stick with your goal! The site is wonderful, also find a reason why you really need to lose weight. Find something that inspires you to not give up because it is so hard. Good Luck!

You got a pretty good answer, but if you're young, you need to be sure not to keep gaining through the rest of your life. Being plump is one thing, and it is quite possible to be perfectly healthy at a BMI of 30, say. When you get up into the morbidly obese range is when life starts sucking.

Exercise, and even try to exercise hard every now and then. Out of breath, sweating, heart pounding type of exercise. Find your ideal aerobic heart rate, and exercise at that level for 30 minutes a day. Even try to exceed it every now and then (if you're young and otherwise healthy).

Eat healthy (low fat, high fiber, less red meat and more fish and poultry), and try to eat slowly. Don't eat recreationally. Find something else to do than eating a bag of chips, for example.

Fat in itself is not the problem. It's that if one does not take control of a weight gaining situation (and it happens that people just give up and eat whatever they want), then one can wind up paralyzed by one's weight. And that is something that can be avoided by attention now.
