Answers: Also, what is the average weight for someone 10 years old and 4 foot 8?

A 10 year old (female) child who is 71.0 pounds and 4 feet and 8 inches tall, has a body mass index of 16.0, which is at the 29.5th percentile and is considered to be a healthy weight.

i looked it up for youu.
so youre definitely good hun :]

I have no idea, I'm not a doctor.

haha not at all if anything your underweight.. dont worry and eat a sandwich!

good lord, look at what our society has done! A 10 year old is concerned about being overweight! Kids don't even get to be kids anymore, they have to worry about being fat!

no you are still growing and shouldn't be worried about your weight you're fine.

You are 10 years old?
1) You don't have to worry about that
2) You're fine and definatly not over weight.

you're definatly not over wieght. ask your doctor about your second question.

definatly not overweight..sounds pretty normal to me.

i dont kno wat the average weight is but i am pretty sure u are underweight.

10 yr old and you already know how to surf intertnet and know about yahoo answers.... no you are not over weight..now go to youtube and watch some nsync videos

no hun you're not - i dont know what average weight is but for your height i dont see a problem with being that weight.

age is not something to go by - ppl develop at different rates. when i was 10 i was 5'6 and weighed 120lbs. i just developed quickly

Sounds kind of like you're too skinny. Has puberty kicked in yet? You know body hair, boobies, stinky arm pits???
If it has, then you should be around 90-100 pounds. If not, then somewhere in the 80's should be great.

10 years old! What the heck are you doing on this site... Your ten. Don't worry about anything kid. You look great...

no your at a healthy weight !!!

go to this site http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/nutriti...

let it go, ask this silly question when you have stopped growing, 10 is too early to worry about this.As for the average, that's short and tall divided by 2 so it really doesn't apply

You are a child. PLEASE GO TO A PBS KIDS SITE

NO!! Stop loosin wait you are going to get sick! I am 10, annd IM 71 pounds, too! I am skinny, I swear. And I am sure you are not over weight. Please trust me. Never go on a diet at such a young age! Don't think you are fat-accept yourself for who you are, no matter how you think you look.

You are not overweight. In fact, you are underweight! There is something that doctors use called a body mass index, which takes your height and weight and determines if you are overweight, healthy, or underweight. Here is the website: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/.

As long as your doctor is not concerned about your weight, you shouldn't be.

exercise early in the morning before eating, and eating different types of foods at different times of the day. For example, pastas, and pizzas, and fried food, should be morning, with soda if you have to have soda, next for lunch, something a little lighter like fruit, boneless chicken, cheese and vegtables, between 6-8pm you can have light dinner, just meat, salad, and diet cokes....after 10 pm nothing but water and diet cokes, maybe a protein bar. Because at night is when you are less active, and you dont want pasta to sit over night. It works...when u get up, do about 5 minutes of something before work to hit those stored carbs--NOTE in the morning your starving nothing in your belly, your energy will have no choice but to come from stored fat cells, then start eating all you want! and u will be nice and slim.
