no..
3 [100 ] calorie meals a day is best.
and if you can stick to 2 means for 300
calories each its best.
morning and night. [ before 7 p.m or you gain weight! ]
then excersize from 8-9 or so.. it gets you to stay up later
because you have a sudden adrenalin rush.

Not 6 100 calorie meals, they mean 6 300 calorie meals

eating less than 1200 cal a day will slow down your metabolism and make your body hang on to excess body fat harder than usual resulting in little to no weight loss results. it is healthier to eat 5-6 small meals every 2-3hours through out the day because it gives your body immediate fuel on a frequent basis which increases metabolism and reduces the incidence of food being stored as fat. this only works if you are getting 1200+ calories a day. cutting calories as low as you are doing is not very conducive to permanent weight loss because eventually your body will revolt against you and send you cravings so bad you likely will start eating too much and then gain back the weight you may have lost plus more.

6 small meals a day is great for revving up your metabolism - but it's difficult to only eat 100 calories at a time!

Small meals throughout the day IS a healthy way to boost your metabolism. But, consuming only 600 calories daily will not only slow your metabolism, it also puts you at risk for serious health problems. 1500 calories a day, with a diet based on fruit and veggies, lean protein and whole grains, in conjunction with exercise, will get you where you want to be.

no its really unhealthy to eat 600 calories a day

you need more than 100 calories @ a meal b/c you need more than that for breakfast and dinner. youll never find a filling dinner for only 100 calories! then youll be hungry and end up binge eating?

I don't think you realize how small of a portion 100 calories is. A few things that roughly equal 100 calories are...

* Half a small brownie
* One and a half large oranges
* A small salad with low-fat dressing
* About two bites of a cheeseburger
* About one large bite of a slice of cheese pizza
* About 1/4 of a turkey and cheese sandwich
* A "100 Calorie Snack Pack" of crackers

Most average people need at least 1800 calories a day to equal their metabolic output. When input = output, you maintain weight. When input > output, you gain weight. When input < output, you lose weight. So I would honestly suggest 4-5 small, healthy meals a day and an hour of exercise daily. You will be a lot happier eating 1800 calories and exercising more to make input < output than you will be starving yourself, and healthier to boot.

Well before you embark on your 600 calorie journey, you have to do some more thorough research:

1. How much do you weigh currently?
2. What is your goal? Is it to lose weight, gain weight, or maintain your weight?

600 calories a day is not sufficient at all for any human being, let alone being unhealthy. This is starvation and will damage your bodily organs in the long run.

First determine the calories you need daily to maintain your current weight. For example, if your daily maintenance caloric intake is 1500 calories, then you will need to eat 1500 calories daily to maintain your weight. If you want to lose weight, then you will need to eat less than 1500 calories a day. Also, you want to spread out the 1500 calories throughout the day evenly (from breakfast until a few hours before you sleep, i.e. 6 meals a day = 250 calories/meal). If you want to gain weight, then you will need to eat more than 1500 calories a day.
