Help with weight GAIN...?!

Question: My younger brother is 18 and really wants to gain weight, I guess you could describe him as under weight, so maybe it's just a fast metabolism? I have no idea of this stuff but he asked me, so any help would be great.

Eat more, including some snacks between meals, probably less exercise, and some weight training, no more than two sets of any exercise, twice a week.

Get more sleep, dress as warm as tolerable all the time.

He needs to conserve calories, yet stimulate muscle growth, and get enough rest.

My son is 20 and weighs 141 at 5'9" (very slim) he has tried EVERYTHING and still can't gain... The most he can do is eat..eat..eat... High calorie But healthy foods... He most likely wont gain weight until he gets a little older...

He'll need to calculate his intake vs. how much he burns. Prevention.com has some great tools for this. Then he'll need to take in more than he burns - consistently.
