WHATS GOING ON!! ?? Please Help?!


Question: I have been doing 30min of exercising each day, strength training every second and eating healthy but I continue to GAIN WEIGHT and GAIN FAT! What is going on???

its your baby fat... theres nothing you can do about it, once girls either start their periods or are about to... their bodies just kinda keep producing fat for everything you eat, you need to just give it a lil time until your hormones are back on track, it will take about a year after your period starts.... good luck... just enjoy being a child... who cares if your 5'3 and 136 lbs. thats NOT that bad! for your age... just keep doing what your doing, dont eat before bed!

first off, YOUR TWELVE! you are still growing a lot, so that and run for that full 30 minutes. eat heathly, and sleep right!

You are a 12 year old girl... Your not going to stop growing that early, your body is going through many changes right now. Don't try dieting at 12, you need the nutrients to help your body grow properly. You aren't fat. Whoever is trying to tell you that is an idiot.

Your still growing! If suggested by a docter you should be doing special weight traing but your probably going through a growth spurt.

you say eating healthy.....that's not elaborating much. are you still eating regularly? If you don't eat regularly, your body will store fat. Cutting out carbs? Eating smaller portions? You say you're strength training, are you eating lots of protein and adding muscle? You say 30 mins of exercise. What does that mean? Stairmaster? Treadmill? or are you doing curls with 5 lb weights?......I dunno, hope that helps....

Sounds like it may be hereditary. See your doctor or a nutritioinalist to seek professional help.

How do you know that you are gaining fat? How are you measuring your body fat percentage? I would suspect that you are building up muscle. Muscle is more dense than body fat, so as you burn off fat and build up muscle, you could easily gain weight - but healthy weight. You didn't state what your goal is with the excercising, but if you aren't trying to become a body builder, then maybe you need to back down on the level of excercise.

You should be doing these excercises under qualified supervision. If you aren't, I recommend that you do so.

your 12!!!
that has a huge impact.
so even when you try to lose weight...your in a stage in your life where your supposed to grow!!!
but if your determined to lose the weight...
i would sayy try doing more than just 30 min.
take a jog
if you can go to a gym try a cardio class or something
or if not hang out w. some of your friends...&& instead of just watching a movie...go play basketball...go outside && move your body as much as possible...if its between the stairs && an elevator..take the stairs...
little things like this will make a difference.
also...your work out maynot be the right one for you.
what i do is
lay on the groud arms and legs stretched up. so your arms are by your ears.
then bring your fingers to your toes...in a crunch like position.
do about 50 a dayy...and youll see a big improvement!
and if none of this works you can always try a work out video...lol!
