Blood test results and worried?!

Question: Blood test results and worried?

I had blood taken out on Monday and was waiting for the results. The doctor had said she believes that there is defiantly something wrong with my hormones. I called the office today and asked if when they get the results if they could call my cell. The receptionist said that she will and she just checked and some results are back but that's shes going to give it to the doctor and that the doctor will give me a call back to discuss everything. Should I be worried?

NO! dont' be worried yet!! The receptionist is not qualified to read the test results, only the doctor's patient log. The doctor is the only one who is qualified to read the results and talk to you about them. so she will call you and either say everything is fine or request you make an appointment to come in for another visit. That is when you should worry!! But not too much as worrying only makes things worse!!

Don't be worried, but be prepared. Usually if the doctor wants to discuss the results with you that means something is abnormal. It doesn't necessarily have to be anything severe or grave, but it's still something you might need to know and the doctor will tell you how to proceed from there.

If nothing was wrong, there would be nothing to discuss.

I recently got my blood taken and the doctor called to discuss because I had a low iron and potassium count and suggested I see an endocrinologist.
