Would I need surgery?!
Question: Would I need surgery?
I'm a 15 year old female, 5'3" 105 lbs, normal blood pressure.
For 2 years, I have had regurgitation of food every time after I eat. No matter what I eat, my food regurgitates back into my mouth with my frequent burps. I don't vomit the food, I belch it up with my burps. I never have heartburn or chest pain. I had an upper endoscopy last week, and the gastroenterologist said everything is normal and I don't have any ulcers. He gave me Aciphex, Reglan, Gaviscon, and suppositories for vomitting. None of those have worked. I've been using medicine for almost a month now, and I haven't had relief whatsoever. My food still regurgitates after I eat. Would I need surgery for this? I don't want to damage my esophagus.

Answers:
No You will not need surgery for this, They may do some test to see what the problem is. But surgery isn't the answer for your condition.
