I'm dating a guy with genital warts... how can I stay safe?!

Question: I'm dating a guy with genital warts... how can I stay safe?
We've been dating a couple of weeks and I really like him. He was honest about it with me right away so we haven't had any sexual contact. Here lately we have experimented with mutual masturbation but refrain from too much physical contact other than with our hands and we wash thouroughly after each time before touching anything else. Im going to the clinic soon to see about getting on Gardasil but I was just wondering what else we can do to stay safe so I don't get infected.

Assuming your both consenting adults,
Besides Abstinence, Nothing. HPV affects somewhere around 80% of the population and
most people go their entire lives without ever knowing that they were exposed to HPV.
Sexual activity with Anyone almost guarantees exposure to one of the many different strains of HPV.
Some produce warts, some can cause cancer, and most (including wart/cancer types) are just
killed off or suppressed by the body naturally.
Condoms help, but aren't 100%. Getting tested for std/sti infection and making sure there are NO
visible warts is a plus. All in all, HPV is extremely common but Im NOT an expert so DO NOT take any of this as fact. Asking a physician would be best. There are also many great resources for information online if you search around. Hope this helps you and that you both are safe, responsible, and have a great relationship!

Guardasil doesn't always work, you can still get an STD. Also condoms aren't 100% affective either. Your best bet is abstinence for sure. It could be one bad decision that will affect you for the rest of your life. You can't take medicine to get rid of it. You could give this to your husband, you could give this to your child, you could get cancer from this. It's not something to mess with, this is serious stuff.

don't have sex with him unless you are sure that he's the one and still wait until marriage then to make sure he's not using you.

nothing can actually 100% protect you from warts...and not a lot of people want to date a chick with warts. i never would for sure.

think about the consequences and your future children.

CONDOM CONDOM CONDOM!!
