I can't do that, even ignoring a specific diagnosis, the fact that he has not passed urine for 24 hours means he is SIGNIFICANTLY dehydrated. This is serious in a child of 14 months and will require admission. Seek local medical advice at once!
GP for more years than I care to remember
Hi He will be dehydrated if he has had nothing to drink. Are you in UK ring NHS direct for advice because he should be drinking he is only young and his body will be missing vital salts/sugars. These doctors make me sick they think by saying "give him/her fluids but it is harder than it looks. The reason he may be sleeping a lot is because he is dehydrated. Hope he will be feeling better soon.
IF I were you I would take him to the hospital. This is not right and he should be seen and thoroughly examined.
I have little faith in the out of hours service.
I also have NO faith in NHS Direct!!! Now get baby to the hospital NOW!!!!
RN
Take him to the hospital and tell them he needs IV fluids..NOW. Be demanding. There isn't much they can do to actually treat the illness since he probably has the flu but the poor guy is dehydrated and needs fluids.
Take the child to the ER, immediately.
take him to a&e, dont take the chance, babies dehydrate very quickly
Take him to the ER NOW!
