Old hydrogen peroxide?!

Question: Old hydrogen peroxide?
I have hydrogen peroxide that has been expired since 2008. Everyone I ask if this is okay to use says it is but really? Is it? Maybe this is just a way for companies to get more money setting due dates for it? And if it does expire is it really a big deal?

Answers:

Hydrogen Peroxide H2O2 is unstable. It releases the extra oxygen molecule and turns to plain water H2O. After the expiration date it no longer is effective at preventing infection.
