Does the acne pill "accutane"work?If so how long would it take to see results?
my dermatologist perscribed me that and since there are a lot of stages to go through in order to take this medication i just want to know if its worth all the trouble(including possibly having those crazy side affects)

My dermatologist said it can get rid of most peoples' severe acne in one course. I was given a course in high school, but it only helped a little, so he gave me another course of it when I was in college. I still am not totally happy with my skin, but it isn't as bad as it once was. Personally, the worst side affects for me were thinning hair and nosebleeds/dry skin. For me, being on birth control to even out hormone fluctuations and using a cleanser and moisturizer that are good quality work the best. It is scary that you have to get your blood drawn regularly and all, but for you it might be worth it. I can't tell you it will or won't work for you, but I know a lot of other people that were very pleased with their results.
