3 enlarged lymph nodes in neck..?!
Question:
3 enlarged lymph nodes in neck..?
a month ago I started feeling sick, namely in my throat.I woke up and could barely swollow.I was also experiencing a high fever(about 102). My tonsils were very swollen and red.I went to the AM/PM clinic. My temp was now104.they ran a rapid strep test and a mono test.both negative.they also ran a CBC. My WBC count was at 15.Because of this they assumed that it was a bacterial infection. Gave me a script for some antibiotics and sent me on my way.I finished all the antibiotics and got better. But, about 2 or 3 weeks ago I noticed a posterior chain of 3 lymph nodes pop up, all about a pea in size.My tonsils are still swollen but are no longer red or hurt at all.the fever has not returned.I went to my physcian today and he said that with bacterial infection my temp shouldn't be that high, also that with an infection in the throat, the posterior chain of lymph nodes shouldn't be swollen.waiting for cbc results.help!should i be worried?what do i have?bacterial?viral?he had no idea..
Additional Details2 weeks ago
ok.. got the second cbc back, it was now a normal 7.4. BUT, the lymph nodes are STILL swollen.. I don't get it.. Any help??
