Can chlamydia cause a fishy smelling odor?!
Question:
Can chlamydia cause a fishy smelling odor?
Answers:
Bacterial vaginosis is the female condition that is usually stated to cause a "fishy odor." But you can't diagnose this over the internet. You need to see your doctor (either a primary care physician who will do the necessary gyn exam or a gynecologist) to get evaluated and properly cared for.
It's not clear just how BV gets started. There are some known risk factors for it including having a new sexual partner, using a douche or having an IUD.
Chlamydia is an STD. If you are at risk of chlamydia, you are at risk of any STDs. See your doctor or go to a public health clinic if that's not an option.
Here is a web site that will tell you about bacterial vaginosis.
