Question:

My mom wants to know

Answers:

Yes they are low in Carbs and that is what matters. The free food is an old but still used category of low carbs/sugar. A few have given erroneous examples. Popcorn and most vegetables (obviously not all) are not free choices. They have measurable amounts of carbohydrates and will raise blood sugar significantly.

A diabetic can eat anything as long as it is kept balanced with, medication, exercise etc.
