My friend recently got this thing called a "chemical peel". We both have the same case of acne for the most part and his is pretty much gone after he got this done. He said they pretty much peeled a whole layer of skin of his face and now he has clear skin... just seeing if anyone knows what this is... i have no idea

Chemical peel is when the dermatologist uses chemicals like alpha hydroxy acids or beta peels to apply on your face, leave it on for a few mins depending on your skin type, then they wash it out with neutralizer. Your face will become pink to reddish like sunburn. After a few days, your skin started peeling(top layer) shedding to reveal you new skin. You usually go for several session until skin is smooth and clear.
