Fever??what can i do!?!

First fevers in and of themselves are not contagious and you are not a dumb blonde!!

However what is causing the fever might be! So no kissing, etc!. ;)

Fevers are actually the body's way to fight an infection and unless a person is prone to febrile seizures are not as dangerous as you might think!. Provided of course that you remain well hydrated and keep cool!. NO sweating it out!.!.that is not a good way to break a fever!. So no wrapping up in blankets or overdressing!.

Sponging with tepid or room temperature water is fine, but NO ice or cold water or rubbing alcohol!.

Drink plenty of fluids, sip often as opposed to guzzling!. Take tylenol or ibuprofen!. Wear light clothing and rest!.

If its the flu then yeah you can catch it but a fever is also a body's way of fighting off infection, give him some tylenol and if he keeps fevering for over 2 days then I would see a doctor!. If its the flu the fever should break in 3 days but if its an infection then it'll just get worse and he'll need antibiotics, If its an infection then no not contagious!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would first rub rubbing alcohol all over his body (this opens the pores and allows the body to cool itself down)!. Fevers are not contagious but usually whatever the person had can be contagious during a fever!. Fevers can be very dangerous if they get too high!. He probably thinks he is cold and wants to bundle up under blankets but don't let him; give him a very light blanket or sheet instead!. Keep fluids in his body-juice, gatoraid, water!.

put him in a cool bath give, him tylonal,high fever in adults can be dangerous, if it reaches 105 take him to the emergancy room as this high of a temp can cause seizures, fevers, are not contagious but many times the sources of them are take his temp again 30 minutes after the bath, and get him to drink lots of water,if the fever doesnt break on its own in 6 hours call a docterWww@Answer-Health@Com

yes it is bad when you have a fever,,it means your body is trying to fight the infection off and sometimes it has to run its course,,but if it gets higher than that go the the ER, he nay need an antibiotic and he can dehydrate if he keeps his fever,,i had 3 kids and it would scare me when they were sick with the fever,,take 2 or 3 Tylenol every four hours to keep the fever down,,sure hope he feels better,,it is flu season time,,Www@Answer-Health@Com

fever themselves are not contagious however the illness he has may be contagious!. A fever that high is grounds for going to the hospital!. He can get brain damage if it doesn't go down, he could get seizures if it doesn't go down!.
If its a virus, yes it can be contagious!.
I would put him in a ice cold shower to lower his temperature!. Or give him motrin, or Ibuprofin!.
