Why hasn't a cure for cancer been found?!

Question:

Why hasn't a cure for cancer been found?

After 40 plus years of research, and multi million dollar pharmacutetical companies pumping out every known 'pill' made for every dysfunction known to man... why hasn't the cure for cancer been found? Why are we still allowing chemicals into our body that promote cancer?
Why?

Answers:

The reason cancer is hard to cure is because the cancer cells are abnormal human cells and it is hard to kill the cancer cells with out killing the good cells as well. I can easily kill a cancer cell sitting in a petri dish. Some cancers are curable when caught early. Cervical cancer when caught early is one hundred percent curable. Also there is a chain of events that lead to cancer so for example a person has to be exposed to something that damages DNA followed by a chemical that promotes the growth of the cells with the damaged DNA.
